Last year a friend and I took a trip to New Orleans to immerse ourselves in all the artsy and cultural things. When it came time to decide where to go next, we naturally landed on…Cleveland.

Okay, so maybe Cleveland isn’t quite as magical as NOLA, but it is full of loads of pop culture goodness. With that in mind, here are a few recommendations for this week.

Touring: One thing I did not know before I planned a trip to Cleveland is that A Christmas Story was filmed there. You know, the one with Ralphie and the pink bunny suit and the leg lamp and the official Red Ryder Carbine Action, 200-shot Range Model Air Rifle with a compass in the stock and this thing that tells time? Well, the movie was filmed there and the house from the film offers daily tours, enabling weirdos like me to hold the leg lamp and hide under the kitchen sink, à la Ralphie’s brother Randy. If you’re a fan of the film (and really, how could you not be?), I highly recommend paying it a visit sometime.
