P!nk, Janis, and Concrete Blonde
A mid-week dose of inspiration.
A few weeks ago my husband and I watched the FireAid concert and, like most viewers, were blown away by P!nk’s cover of Janis Joplin’s “Me and Bobby McGee.” If you’ve been following P!nk’s career, you know she’s done this cover many, many times. In fact, the first time I saw her perform the song was in 2003. I was flipping through channels (back in the pre-streaming days when flipping through channels was a thing) and came upon the Songwriters Hall of Fame ceremony, where a baby P!nk belted out the tune:
